When Indian/American actor (I Am Love) Waris Ahulwaliabecame the global ambassador for Starwood's Luxury Collection Hotels and Resorts, he and a few film and fashion friends became inspired by brand's mantra  “Life Is a Collection of Experiences. Let Us Be Your Guide."
They decided to make a short mystery film using Starwood's luxury resorts across the US as locations. His Love directorLuca Guadagnino is directing the cross-country film that has already been shot at The Royal Hawaiian on Oahu and at The Phoenician, in Scottsdale, Arizona. They are wrapping up the filming this week at the Equinox in Vermont for a little fall foliage color.
The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts includes over 75 hotels and resorts in more than 35 countries. So there are bound to be more of these short films. The first stars iconic model Agyness Deyn, whose wardrobe is styled by costume designer Heidi Bivens in the  classic style of an Alfred Hitchcock heroine (strong, feminine, timeless).
Deyn showed up in LA last week to attend the All Saint's Spittlefields boutique launch party for their Not For Sale T-Shirt Collection on Robertson Blvd in West Hollywood. And she sported trendier-than-thou gray hair, a 2010 runway trend that has also inspired Kelly Osbourne, Kate Moss and Lady Gaga to go grey.
“I am honored to work with dear friends to create such a profoundly beautiful film that highlights the American landscape and the unique indigenous experiences we seek as travelers,” Waris explains. “The American continent offers great diversity, great beauty and great adventure - the film captures this spirit through The Luxury Collection’s exceptional destinations"
Given all the talented folks involved in this film, we predict a sensual and intriguing visual experience that is gonna make you want to pack your bags.
The film will not be shown until January 2012. But since we know you simply cannot wait to find out what (and who) Deyn is wearing, here are some early fashion credits:
